Update to the Andor sidearm- pretty much as finished as I can now get it. Extra detailing (new muzzle, side pins) by Mark Shearman. image2 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr image0 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr image1 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

Scratchbuilt with DoopyDoos and Sheartech parts on a 400mm pipe base. Holster by The Darkside Closet. Don't know if I can clear it yet, and I have no idea how the other side should look!

First troop with the completed kit- protecting Commander (flashback) Krennic, (that's me on the right) and repeatedly securing the perimeter:

Thanks, everyone! Just fiddling around with adjustments now...

Taken new full-length pics- jodhpurs less baggy, and things stirruped. "What's that noise coming from the canteen?" resub 08 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr resub 07 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

Results of fettling, and getting the correct sized gloves from Endor Finders. Large were required for me, not Mediums! I've widened the vambraces a little, and now they slide on easily, stay closed, and don't cut off the circulation to my broken wrist. vambrace-fettled 01 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr vambrace-fettled 02 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

Fettling, fettling, and more fettling! (stirrups added to all soft parts, vambraces made wider, greaves prevented from rotating, and discovering that Velcro adhesive does not stick to Plastazote!) And this is BEFORE I start work to make my E22 more accurate!

Final checks and fittings! Still a few issues to sort out... clearance 05 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr clearance 09 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr clearance 20 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

I've used Dirty Down Costume Crayons, and Dirty Down sprays, both Grey and Dark Brown.

Weathered my soft parts. Not that you can really tell in this picture. Steve Walker jodhpurs and Jim Tripon undershirt with Imperial Seamstress neck seal. soft-parts by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

I just saw them on sale at the supplier I usually use, and thought 'that's a good idea- I'm having them!'. So I bought both sizes. I found them easy to use for the 'chipping' process. I did try not to overdo it, though, and followed my reference pictures carefully.

Getting towards the end- chest and abdomen armour finished, just the soft parts to finish off now: chest finished 03 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr chest finished 02 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr abdo finished 01 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr abdo finished 02 by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

I've been looking carefully at the SU pictures, especially the grunts. Strangely, seeing the on-set pictures coming out of the Andor Blackpool shoot recently, you can tell which are the new bits of armour, and which aren't!
-
Thank you! Trying not to overdo the chipping. I'll flatten out and weather the stripes with some 600-grit once the paint has cured.

Shoulder bells painted and chipped- marking the end of most of the major spray painting. Just got the Scarif symbol to add to the blast shield. Before chipping- bells-unchipped by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr After chipping- bells-chipped by Steve Purbrick, on Flickr

Painting progress. More Molotow masking marking usage. I've taken reference pictures of ALL the armour parts, which I forgot to do for the helmet.
