  1. Great to see here Paul! Inspiring work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Is that confirmed? I inquired a few weeks ago and he said he short was too intricate. Only a few were made for the 850 folks. BUT if it's on again, I'd gladly go with Sister Margaret. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. So glad you're back at it again. Been following this thread to a T. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ah man thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hehe. Didn't mean to play coy. I'm building a Jimmi TFA Trooper. It's all flexible fiber glass which is heavier than my Scout armor. I've never built a TK or rigged anything close to it but I've have seen examples of folks using snaps + webbing. I used some snaps for my Scout belt but wasn't satisfied so I thought I'd ask. Thanks! 7. I have another project I'm working on simultaneously and I'm not on any of their forums yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm heading over to Tandy leather this morning for Chicago screws and was wondering if there was a recommended type of snap I could pick up while there or will anything work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks! Much appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Are the "stubby black flowery caped nuts" a requirement for Lancer too? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Perfect! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I purchased a 3M Speedglas 9000 Welding Helmet Headband but wasn't sure if the bolts are correct. Are these the 3M bolts people are recommending? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The ones I have are the same fabric as their khaki pants. Not too thick or thin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Finished the boots! After 2 cut fingers, a ruined rug and a whole lotta glue, I have finished and it fits great! I plan on painting the outer soles later but for now I'm just relieved to be done with these this part of the build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I bought a pair of dickies coveralls and removed the extra parts and sewed the pockets. You'd also have to undo all the inner stitching to properly see the patches and flap. Also, adding stirrups on the bottom of pant legs is a great idea to help keep it from bunching. 17. Yeah... I think I'll start over again. I picked these up from Walmart. Not too bad pricewise. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So ultimately I want to go for the SideShow look for the boots - weathering and all. Hence the deep cuts and more columns. (The more I look at it the more I want to increase the gaps) I've also been building the rest of my amor against Lancer specs. Question is will the boots pass? Note: I'll be painting the outer sole to be one matching color. Much appreciated.
  19. Thanks! I bent the clip to make it an L shape. BTW here's how they look like mounted. I'll cut them out now! Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I picked up these belt clips from Tandy Leather. Is it necessary to cut out the middle section as seen on other members pics? Per Lancer CRL it only says twin armed brackets are needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Not yet. I'll taper it off like Panda has. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey hey, I'm 5'6" 34" waist. I have SC armor and sewed all my own soft pieces. It's been zen so far. I saved the helmet and boots for last and I just saw @salacious post his work on his boots. Here's a quick test fit before I sewed the pouches on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I wish I had a proper before and after, but I thought about narrowing the legs after ripping the seams open to sew patches. I didn't like how baggy the suit felt so I grabbed a pair of my fave jeans and chalked the outline. Then I stitched up the sides. Looks and feels better fitting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks guys! Can't wait to post up pics of everything done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. A lot of trial and error and reading through past threads. Just finished up the pockets! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
