Do we need to enter the Convention center first or do we just go to the stairs since they are outside?
-
I believe I will be there in armor on Friday. Do I need to sign up for this or do I just show up at the stair before 10?

I have gotten some green tinted lens from trooperbay in the past. I don’t know if they have what you are looking for but it should be worth a look.

Hello, I put together one of his scout helmets for my son’s kids kit that he makes which is just like your kit only a bit smaller. I used this video and it answered most of my questions. Be sure to use a good plastic welder to link the two halves together and sand well so the seam doesn’t show. It takes some time but will look good when it’s done!

I did the kids kit and the helmet was also different.

It's been a while but I did decide to go with an Altman lid and it arrived yesterday. I love that I can put it on with my glasses on and it doesn't hurt my head! I was wondering if there are any modifications that need to be done for just the basic approval. I have seen mods for Lancer but since I don't think I can get my armor up to Lancer status I don't see the point right now, maybe later. Also is there anyone who could tell me what lid this is and what it might be worth? I bought it from a trooper and I am now sure who the maker was. It is heavy and is worn but is a nice looking helmet. I have worn it for a for troops. I would consider selling it as I am either going to do that or use it as a decoration.

I have been in contact with Walt who I know makes a good kids kit. How would you say his adults helmet is?

I have an approved scout but I would like to get a different helmet. I bought my armor used and made alterations so I am not entirely sure was set I have. Anyways my helmet is fiberglass so it is a bit heavy and is not comfortable for longer troops. The back digs into my head a bit. I probably just have a weird head! I would like to get a abs helmet that will fit my head and my glasses. My current one does fit with my glasses on. I am worried that the SC helmet will not fit with my glasses on. I am not afraid to assemble it as I have assembled a full TK, my son’s TB and made alterations to my TB. I have looked at the helmet comparison thread but many pictures are not available so it is not completely helpful. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry let's try that again http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/kolaughlin22/My%20Scout%20Trooper/IMG_0293.jpg

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped and everyone whose threads I read during my build. My scout is finished and has been approved. Now it's time to troop in it! <a href="http://s1259.photobucket.com/user/kolaughlin22/media/My%20Scout%20Trooper/IMG_0293.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/kolaughlin22/My%20Scout%20Trooper/IMG_0293.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0293.jpg"/></a>

Yeah the boots aren't bad I actually finished them last night. I am wondering about the TD being an SC because there is no way the greeblies will fit. I just wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion other than ordering an entire TD. It just stinks as I was trying to finish for a troop that's next weekend and for such a small thing as compared to what I've already done.

Ok, like I said I bought my kit used and I am in the home stretch, in fact all I really need to is finish the boots which is no problem and the thermal detonator. So I ordered my greeblies from SC and I just got them in the mail. My problem is that the greeblies do not fit in space as it is only about 1.5 cm (or 5/8 inches) wide. Is this a problem anyone else has had? And if so what should I do? I was told it was An SC kit.

Oh and I forgot to ask what s the best method for the shoulder straps? I have seen using the same material as the cummerbund and using gaffers tape. Just looking for suggestions.

I am almost done. I just need to finish the belt and the then do the boots. Here are the last questions I think I will have. 1. Which boots should I get? I will make the using the marine vinyl but I am not sure which ones will work. Any suggestions would help but these are the ones I am looking at. https://www.amazon.com/Mens-Water-Resistant-Boots-WHEAT/dp/B017THAXTO/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1501096070&sr=1-1&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=kingshow+boots+for+men&refinements=p_89%3AKINGSHOW 2. I am rather thin and I am looking at attaching the straps for the drop boxes at about the same place as I am attatching the back straps. Is that ok or is there a rule as to where they attach in the back? 3. I bought my kits used and the greeblies for the thermal detonator were not there. I am assuming I will need them so I was wondering where to get them. I will contact SC as I see they have replacement greeblies I just wanted to see if there was somewhere else to go. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Ok I have the gloves (Wampa Wear) and the undersuit (i Went with redkap) so I am going to get the soft parts started. I have a ton of photos but I was wondering if there are specific How Tos that are good for the Cumberbund and undersuit (specifcally the crotch and neck). I have good ones for the pockets and flak vest. Also what type of batting do you use in the cumberbund and crotch areas. I have seen a few different thing mentioned and I just wanted to ask before I go out to the store for all of my supplies.
