So I'm trying to get my head round the logistics of the armour and am wondering how you guys are preventing scratching at points where the armour overlaps, so bells and biceps, chest to torso etc... I understand that a small amount of scratching adds to the weathering, but I feel that over time (a couple of troops) the paint would scratch beyond weathering. Anyone having any issues? I can't seem to find this anywhere. I'm looking to start a shoretrooper and am researching suppliers and then a comparison between them. So far I've found three suppliers of kits; 850 armor works, BSP and Jim Tripon and am aware of their prices. Who have people gone for and who would they suggest? My skills are limited so I'd like to have to do as little modification as possible. Any other suggested suppliers? Do any of the suppliers suits help fit a certain body type or size? Apologies if discussed, but having searched the forum and can't find what I'm looking for, especially as some of these suppliers are on their second or third version. Ok, it seems like a stupid question, but I don't want to mess the bucket around only to find out I've put the wrong thing in it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry if I've missed this anywhere. In RO I don't believe we hear a ST speak. If this is the case what do we do about any builds? Will a standard icomm and amp be suitable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brilliant, thanks. Ordered the correct decals from trooperbay too, plus put an order in with Chef for the soft parts. Also ordered the parts to make the boots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I shall do the bells tonight. Having a mare with the helmet! I was going to ask about the webbing for the drop boxes. I'll also need new clips for them too! Shall order those now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Oh, I also know I need to trim down where the armour meets the cummerbund, but I don't want to do that until I have the cummerbund Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Got some photos of me wearing the armour. Annoyingly when I try to get a pic of the chest armour fitting it twists slightly. I have some of the SC drop boxes en route as well as the correct greeblies, other than that any pointers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The TD is grey, just poor lighting I thing, I'll get a better pic of it to show. I'll get the correct boxes and bolster, really I only did those as a) I wanted a practice run and I have an imminent fancy dress party and want it ready in time. I'll try and get some pics of it on showing the fittings, see if there are any pointers there too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ok, so I've done a large amount of the armour now. Got to order the greeblies and also make the helmet and boots. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I'll try and get a picture of me wearing it when it's set and will go from there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Initial fit of the torso armour, pretty happy with it at the moment, considering this is just worn over an unloaded tee at the moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I have trimmed the bells and am quite happy with them but can't be too sure until they're on the torso armour. The chest and back aren't too bad, quite wide under the arms but hopefully the elastic will pull those in and then once worn with the under suit then it'll be fine as it isn't too bad. I've trimmed them down a little as in panda troopers guide, but need to find some off white elastic to sit over the join. The backpack topper looks pretty good, so I'll probably fit that later today. The KS site says a rivet at the bottom of the backpack is correct, is this true? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
So my KS armour has arrived and I've made a start. I think the helmet will be the part of find the most challenging. Having had a look it seems the knees aren't quite right so I may buy some new ones and some new drop boxes from SC as I've also read the drop boxes are a bit big. I'm happy with the thickness of the plastic and there is no yellowing so we shall see. I could do with pointers on how to get this authorised by the 501st. Anyone advise on the knees? I am also aware I need to add another Velcro strap to the top of the knee and I am also ordering new greeblies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
