  1. Good stuff. I see they even put your video on their FB page!
  2. My head is enormous and I order mine from Spike. That's what I'd recommend as well.
  3. From one rookie (and motorcyclist) to another; I would say three things primarily. First, read.... a lot. There are so many aspects to read about. Second, don't be afraid to ask questions. If you aren't sure about one topic or are more interested in another one, then ask! Lastly (and maybe most importantly), be patient. The more time you wait and collect information, the wiser your decisions will be.
  4. Good stuff to know. It is all appreciated.
  5. I've seen 12w, 20w, and 25w units. Are there any real advantages besides a little more power or is it more personal preference?
  6. Respectfully request everyone's thoughts on microphone systems. Personal/realistic opinions? Brands (like ICOMM?)? Configuration (throat mics, headsets, bucket based)? Amp or no amp? Do yinz prefer to place speakers in your helmet or somewhere else? Help and time is appreciated?
  7. I have put much research and many questions both in my local detachment as well as reading on here. My components are either already in my possession, on their way, or settled upon which/where to get them. I have hit one road block, however.... I still do not know where to get a proper helmet. This is because my head is quite large. I wear a US size 8 ball cap and even those are still a little tight. I taped it at 63.5 cm around just above my ears. The highest number in a similar reference I have seen anyone on here discuss is 60 cm. Now looking at me from the front, you wouldn't be able to tell. It's my profile that gives it away. It is very long. I have emailed some vendors directly and read from all of you about SC, KS, MC, and more helmet sizes. I want as much realism AND comfort as possible when making this choice. Please... thoughts; and don't pull any punches. I appreciate everyone's help and time.
