Thanks everyone---you confirmed my suspicion--I gave the armor a serious cleaning--looks much better now!
-
Yeah--I'm gonna clean it up a bit...

After a year and a half I'm finally going to upload some pics. It's been a journey of researching, reading, buying, selling, working...and I've got armor and a cool tub to keep it all in (and it fits everything!). Just need to finish the soft parts to "finalize" for submission and tweaking! So, hopefully I can get these pics to upload. Well, OK--they're too big so gonna have to post links to photobucket I guess (?!) Hopefully this will work...in the 18 months I've been on this forum I've had all kinds of trouble trying to post pics--including trying to post a profile pic! http://s1253.photobu...html?sort=3&o=2 http://s1253.photobucket.com/user/Rhino325/media/Biker%20Scout%20Project/IMG_20170416_135839842.jpg.html?sort=3&o=7 This might be a better link: http://s1253.photobu...t?sort=3&page=1 Someone please let me know if you can't see these. Thanks!! So looking forward to being an official TB!

Cool. Will do--thanks!

Thanks! I was wondering if I could just grind down the grill and aerator--leaving the vinyl backing. But on second thought that probably won't work. DVH looks like a great option--bummer they're on hold.

Hey does anyone have knowledge of this piece? I'm thinking of using this on a Don Post mod. http://www.djdesigns.eu/product/starwars_biker_scout_nose_detail_piece

That looks amazing--what paint colors did you use? -
Thank you for the advice!

Hello everyone, Sorry if this is a) the wrong place to post this, or, not appropriate for this forum. Now that that's out of the way-- I began constructing my boots several months ago and realize I have neither the time, or the patience. I even cut the appropriate grooves in the soles! Is there anyone in the DFW, TX area (I am in Frisco) who would be willing (for compensation of course ) to complete them for me? I have all the necessary materials. I started my build nearly a year ago and have made very little progress. Please mssg me if you're interested. Thank you! aj

I know I've read in several posts to avoid eBay but this looks legit. Does anyone have intel on this vendor? http://www.ebay.com/itm/262275710478?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It looks like a good deal. aj

I'm sure learning on here!

So, I started out with a clear "line item" estimated budget after doing a ton of research: Coveralls + sewing $### Cummerbund $### Helmet + mods $### Armor $###.... etc.... I am literally laughing at myself for being so naive. Now that I'm actually in the process of spending money, I'm like--"Budget, we don't need no stinking budget..." I am learning that you just have to grin and bear it!!! Is it just me or is that a common epiphany?
