Yeah especially with international shipping, keeping me notified when it was packaged, shipped and gave me a tracking number. If only he did more armour...
-
Maybe this?

I know that Chad from DSP is starting up runs again. He does DLT-19s and has done E-11s in the past. He is also as far as I know the one of the few vendors that has successfully shipped multiple times to the UK from the US. However, this is due to the fact that you must spray paint your guns yourself.
-
Link to it is here Would probably be a little awkward to import to the UK due to the RIF (Realistic Imitation Firearm) laws - you'd need it correctly labeled as 'Movie Prop' otherwise you risk it being seized.

Wow! That's amazing quality. I guess the use of 3D printing is really taking off.

Hi Jason After a quick 501st search of the Bolivia outpost (of which there are three people), the shop owner's name doesn't match any of them. I would recommend going with a more reputable supplier for your first armour, as buying it to find it doesn't meet the criteria can be an expensive mistake. On the other hand, some of his products are backed up with screenshots from the films (mostly soft armour) and he has a 5 star shop review. However the armourer @Statz should be able to verify the accuracy but it is shipping from Bolivia. Maybe getting an armour set from SC (who is based near Atlanta I believe) would be the better option. Many people on the forum use SC, from me to BikerScout007 (The XO) I'm not sure if we're allowed to publicly give you links to armour distributors so if you want, I can PM you the link to SC. Tbh I was looking at this guy for the jumpsuit so this would be interesting to see if this guy meets 501st standards. Matt

Bit late to the party but welcome Ghosty! Like many others, I use SC and really like the quality of their armour. Not too bad a price either

OK. It's just that I don't have the craftmanship to make my own. As they make them to size, I could always ask for a certain height and to ask if they can avoid the flaring. Also, on my monitor, it doesn't look two-tone... Thanks for looking though statz. I might pick them up anyway as anything is better than a pair of wellingtons Stormy

Hi all, So I'm thinking of picking up these boots (They're on Etsy if anyone wants to have a closer look) and I wanted the expert eye to look over them to assure me that they will meet the scout specifications (and maybe Lancer?). I've tried making my own but... I'm not a craftsman I destroyed much vinyl... so much vinyl Here are a few images from the store page: Side View: Front view: Cheers, Stormy

Hey and welcome! Always good to have more scouts in the family!

Okay I've seen a few headset -> Phone -> Aker setups. I might look into that but I can't really afford my phone croaking on a troop! I'm actually not 501st yet - still got Boots and a few touch-ups to do on my armour. That, and I'm under 18 ;( Still, Thanks very much for your suggestions guys. Really appreciate advice from the pros Stormy

Okay so have you got any mainstream cards you can recommend other than the iComm. I want to strive for Lancer but I really want the mic for the extra authenticity
-
Thanks Statz! I'll invest in an iComm and if it's not really appropriate, I can still use it in my Sandy Don't mind any other input, really interesting to see what different setups people have Stormy

Ok interesting. I didn't think we had static bursts (Rewatch of ROTJ needed). If I set it to the subtlest static burst, would that be acceptable? Or should I go looking elsewhere?

Hey guys I've been away for a while, working on my armour in my spare time, but I'm almost done! Now I want to talk about helmet mics. I'm thinking of getting the iComm (http://store.voicebooster.com/icomm-imperial-communication-system) and the accompanying Aker Amplifier (http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1506-aker-10watt-voice-amplifier/). I'll then secure the amplifier to the front chest plate (Like the TKs did at White armor (http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg556/bigironvault/IMG00400-20120905-1533.jpg))and use the VOX to speak. What do you use? How do you secure it? Anyone else got any recommendations? It'll set me back about £120 ($150) plus shipping but from what I hear it's worth it. Regards, Stormy
