  1. Gloves---
  2. Here is my modified Altmann's helmet. I am curious to feedback if anything else is needed for Lancer status use. I replaced the gray bolts with accurate bolts and inserted the headwear (which I bought in this group). I see a chin cup is optional for Lancer. What is the opinion of most on adding them? I feel like it is not needed. Thanks and looking forward to the comments.
  3. Hello All! My name is Hilary from Virginia and I have been reading up on all the great build threads and have taken the plunge into building my first costume. I have squired a few times for some friends in the 501st and am ready to join fully now. I want to try my best to achieve Lancer status with this build and will be posting photos to get your feedback as I progress. I'm looking forward to great feedback from this group to help me achieve Lancer status if possible. My build list is as below.: Hokie1 Build List · Helmet: Modified Altmanns · Armor: SC · Blaster: DVH Rubber with Metal Guard · Gloves: Wampa Wear · Balacalava: Amazon · Cummberbund: Steph’s Imperial Outfitter · Pouches: Steph’s Imperial Outfitter · Vest: Steph’s Imperial Outfitter · Flightsuit: Modified Wampa Wear · Boots: Will follow tutorial here
  4. Yeah I second that with Wally. He is a great guy and does awesome bags!
  5. Hello All. New here on my build. Have a SC kit, older one, that I am working on. Want to try and hit Level 2. On the bicep armor the standards say 2 inch elastic. However the SC armor that I have is 1.5 inches. Do I need to make the hole bigger for the 2 inch elastic or have I read the standard for Level 2 wrong? Thanks! Hilary
  6. What brand or color gray spray paint is recommended for this tube?
  7. Love it! Where does one get these for their Altmann?
  8. Howdy. What's the best glue to glue the bits to the thermal detonator, biceps and tank? Thanks!! Hilary
  9. He told me th same thing today. It should be shipping in the next month.
  10. Picked up a complete set of Don Jarr Greeblies for my SC kit. Question 1: On the tank topper he has molded/sculpted in the rivot. Do we need to drill this out an replace with a real rivot for Lancer status? Question 2: The t-bits for the biceps don't fit. Anyone had this issue or come up with a solution? Thanks! Hilary
  11. What about for the rubber Hyperfirm pistol? Any suggestions since its rubber?
  12. I got mine yesterday as well. Glad I listened to the group hear and ordered one size up. A snug fit but not uncomfortable.
  13. I had a freak accident this weekend working on my armor and crushed the tube to my thermal detonator. Emailed Jeff at SC and he hooked me up with a replacement free of charge. Outstanding customer service!!! Hilary
  14. I bought the helmet liner that was listed in the trade forum and it is not going to fit? What setups are people using for their Altmann helmets? I would like to go Lancer. Thanks, Hilary
  15. Any help or suggestions on the helmet?
  16. Armor came in on Saturday. Super quick shipping. SC Armor!!
  17. Well this is my first attempt at a costume. Trying for Lancer status if I can. Looking for all the help that I can get. Altmann Bucket. I'm not sure if this was right before he made the change on a few things but will this fit for Lancer status on the outside? Are the bolts. stickers, and snout piece correct for Lancer? I have ordered a headband kit from KW Designs for the inside. Still not sure on how to connect the chin cup? Do you need a certain type of elastic? Thanks! Hilary
  18. How long of a wait did you have to get your helmet?
  19. Thanks for sharing this. I will have to do this with my gloves when they arrive.
  20. Do they make them in a bigger size than L? Based on what I have read in the threads they say you should order a size up, but if you take the lining out doesn't that give you a bit more room? Thanks!!
  21. Great read. I am surprised no one had contacted them before. I hope good things come from this and good job on the foot work!!!
