Nothing there....?

Thanks Kris. I haven't totally lost my Star Wars mojo. I will try to make it to a Comicon sometime and give the Imperials some grief

Sooooo. It's been some time. I have moved from Italy back to the UK - Wales to be precise. Life is different, priorities change and with much soul searching I have decided to retire from costuming. I am 63 this year and although I dont have one foot in the grave, I do remember how tiring trooping was when I last did it in 2017. I loved it but it can take its toll. So, my part complete armour is up for sale. I have all the parts: 3D printed armour, jacket, trousers, gloves, boots etc. If anyone (probably in the UK) is interested, drop me a PM and we can discuss the finer details including price which I am very flexible on.

I can envisage the use of a Pauldron being a nightmare given the already restricted helmet movement which is mainly caused by the raised neck piece. Given that I have heard that "if something cannot be seen on a costume, it doesn't need to be represented", would it be acceptable to omit the neck piece as it will be covered by the Pauldron? At worst, the lower front parts of the neck piece may need to stay where visible but they would not impede helmet movement as much.

Are you adding the shield as an optional accessory - not required for clearance? Im not sure yet and everything is packed up for my move back to the UK so the WIP is on hold. However, the shield is rather interesting........

Have a look at my WIP. There are some photos of my 3D prints and another of the finished leg armour. I have a problem fitting it over my heel but will wait until I am back in the UK where the boots are and sort it out then. My fault for having big plates of meat

You got me at Pauldron..... Now I didnt wake up today thinking "I must search for a Riot Shield online". But I am: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005925130863.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&albagn=888888&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=it1005005925130863&ds_e_product_merchant_id=768439093&ds_e_product_country=IT&ds_e_product_language=it&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=19213868044&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw34qzBhBmEiwAOUQcF5sTBS0dnOi3ifAHIp2RiH1gO6ACijMmQzFiE8mI_gyQ_oUNYtDm0RoC5GcQAvD_BwE&aff_fcid=8286da4645fb454a890c9f7147eacc51-1717771748627-05504-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=8286da4645fb454a890c9f7147eacc51-1717771748627-05504-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=87d46e21a90b410d8d46af5c5b0f479d&afSmartRedirect=y This could form the basis for the shield but cost/modifications may mean it would be easier to start from scratch.......

Did you trip over an Ewok?

I bought a pair of these but have yet to modify them: https://www.marksandspencer.com/it/loose-fit-stretch-chinos/p/P60544035.html#index=0 They are a good fit for me - not too tight, just a little loose. I hope they work out.

I found a ladies lambskin leather jacket in an Antiques shop in Wales for £35. Its tight around the chest but it can be let out using the sleeves as material, add a zip and replace the sleeves with ribbed material purchased from MrPoopie.

Fantastic! Thanks. I am living in Italy but hoping to return to the UK around September so it can wait until I am back. Posting to Italy (and its inept postal service) is a nightmare - not to mention customs and VAT on imports from the UK......
-
I am in the midst of returning to the UK so progress has slowed a little. However, I have a leather jacket and ribbed material for the arms en-route thanks to MrPoopie. So, the jacket may start to take form soon. In the meantime, I decided to print MrPoopies helmet as I think its a more accurate design than my Etsy purchase. I was worried it would not fit my head but it's perfect. I am working on it now..... Can anyone recommend (or have to sell) green lens material. Previously I had to buy an entire face shield for £25 from the UK.

I am securing the belt items now but need to know if the pop studs I have bought are ok. They are a sort of gun metal. Some photos of the PT seem to show them as black but the CRL images seem more gun metal to me. Advice?

At least it's fire retardant. I could have done with that when I trooped as an Incinerator. I thought you were in the "wouldn't it be nice" phase I await the WIP.........
