Thanks to this thread (and my constant research on armor parts), it is now impossible to enjoy this photo without being irked by how the face plate on the (probably Rubies Inc.) helmet is flattened and how the visor is tilted to one side. Oh, and how she's wearing her elbow pads on her upper arm. Oh yeah, and how she's wearing Storm Trooper forearm guards. *shudder*

So would SC armor and a KS bucket sound like a good plan then?

I think what I'm gonna be going with is SC armor and a KS helmet based on what I've heard so far.

Thanks Isaac! I happen to have a very small head so atm I'm pondering on whether or not I want to try an SC helmet. While there's the whole head side risk, I've read about people waiting in excess of 6 months for a KS helmet to come in the mail Its a big gamble, but I think the pay off would be worth it.

Oh, trust me, imma keep my eyes out for an LW, but I'm kinda budget pressed so I'm not gonna keep my hopes up too far. Thanks for all the useful help, you've both been really helpful!

So really what I've learned from this so far: •KS helmet requires more modification but the end result is more satisfying •SC helmet is better built out of the box but isnt as accurate as a finished KS helmet Anything else I'm missing here helmet wise?

Thanks for the quick and helpful answer! I live in Rochester NY near the US-Canadian border. anyways, thanks for letting me know to go for sc armor! I also did see that turnaround times were pretty bad for KS, so I'll check out the sc armor. hope to see you at some joint garrison event! Dixon

Hello all! I (like half the people posting on this forum) am a new enthusiast, looking to buy my first set of armor! I have been researching for about a month. but hearing how badly certain products (the rubies inc. helmet comes to mind) have been in the mail, I have my trepedations. right now, it looks like Kropserkel is who I'm gonna be going with. but before I press that send button on paypal, is there anything about the Kropserkel armor that I should be worried about? thanks!
