GREAT to be aboard! Honored indeed!

STRAPPING A bunch of people have asked me about the strapping and how I did it. Here's a video detailing that.
-
A lot of people ask me about the belt too. It came with Denis' kit. But what I've heard is you can find something for it on your own at home supply stores. It's a rubber material like is used for the edges of floors agains the walls. (So I understand.) It's 3.25 inches wide. Here's a video showing it.

Here's the shirt... And here are the pants...

I literally hot glued them to the top front of the boot when it was all said and done to keep them "up." I don't have a video or picture of that... but other than that they just sit. And you may not need to glue them at all. Here's a video showing some other aspects of the boots... in case you hadn't seen it. Thanks! People love him! More people than you'd think know who I am. Usually if they ask and I say, "I'm a patrol trooper from the Solo movie." They respond with, "Oh yeah! That was a great movie!" And the people that don't get it like that probably can't tell the difference between people they "recognize" and someone new anyway. 😂

The rubber he sent with the kit is all that I used.

Mine won't fit in my smaller bin. It's because I can't stack it like I did TK armor — I had that stuff shoved inside itself so small it was like an onion. So so far I've just kept it in the trunk. But the nice thing is I only have to put on the ab/kidney plate, chest/back, gloves and helmet when I get there. I drive in my pants, boots, and top. When I find a bin that works I will post it here too. It needs to be more "square" than long.

You're very welcome, man! Here's some more info... After my troop last weekend I felt like my cod piece was too low... but I liked how many "ridges" were showing from the bottom of my chest plate since I lowered my suspenders and ab and back. Then I looked at the SOLO book and noticed that space between the "notch" on the side triangle and top of the belt was much smaller than mine. Also that the "indentation" on the front was showing a LOT less than mine... see here... So... I unglued my belt and moved it all UP some. That also raised my cod piece into the right position! YAY!

Oh yes. More than enough.
-
Just plain matte white. I just bought mine at Lowe's.

For the toes? I actually used PlastiDip spray. That way it can peal off if you want it to — sort of — but it stays on good for trooping.

Patrol Trooper finished! Photos submitted for approval!

People asking how I am weathering my armor so I made a quick video. I'm a "do it the easiest way that works" kind of guy and after assembling 18 sets of armor - owning seven sets myself and weathering many a sandtrooper; not to mention other costumes and props - this is that way.
-
Finally made a lot of progress. I should be finished by Monday or early in the week and will submit photos then!

Okay... big updates here. First off all the armor arrived minus the undersuit - which got stolen in Russian customs. The box had been opened and closed. So a new suit is on the way. Also the ab and back plates were a bit small. So those new ones are coming soon too. Oh, and the holster for the blaster was missing. Not sure what happened there. 😝 For the strapping I got the following - easiest strapping ever! A- Velcro: for the clasps to attach on the front of the shoulder and the clasps on the boots on the side that fasten once on. B- Elastic: for the biceps and forearms. C- Strapping. For holding up the ab and back, to connect the cod piece (I could use elastic “B” for that too) and to attach shoulder bells. D- Clips: For the suspenders made from strapping “B” to hold up ab and back plate. E- Clips - middle push release: to attach the chest and back at shoulders when I put it on. Quick release will allow me to unfasten them easily when done. I also asked about which way the straps on the side go... @Spiel confirmed that "B" was correct and that the elastic simply wraps around the inside of the chest plate then the back plate slides under the chest plate when you wear it - which is what tends to happen when it's on anyway. For the boots I glued the inside of the calf to the front shin and then left the outside "clamp" free. I had to sand out the holes just a bit to get them to snap in more easily. Here's a video showing how the boots will work. (Click the image below to watch the video.) The hand plates are just awesome because, like everything else, they fit my hands perfectly; so weird to have armor that is literally made for me! Finally one picture of the chest and back set up with the straps on. I'll post more pictures soon. If anyone has questions hit me up! Oh yeah, the blaster assembles super easily - just snaps together! FUN!

Very nice job so far indeed!!!

Added some static cling sunshade to the inside of my Patrol Trooper lenses. I can still see great and now people can’t see my eyes. It also gives it more of the look that I think you’d expect to see when you meet an officer of the Empire.

I painted the insides of my tube vents more white and covered the bottom with a sheet of white plastic. Then I cut out the frown and covered it with black mesh. (They were the easiest teeth I’ve ever cut! They practically punched out like they had been 3D printed with perforations right in the corners!) Then I used an illustrator’s brush marker to weather it so it looks just a bit grimy like it’s been out patrolling Corellia. I LOVE it even more now!!!! 😍

@Spiel just let me know my armor is in the ArmoryShop being detailed. So excited!! 😍

How exciting to jump on here as the first PT build! First off, I've gotten and am getting all my stuff from the man himself @Spiel — thanks already and ahead of time for everything! Here's what I've gotten so far. Helmet, boots, gloves, mic / speaker system. The armor, undersuit and blaster are almost ready to ship. The boots and gloves are my favorite boots and gloves I've ever had! So amazing! And the HELMET!!! Well, the helmet not only is like a solid totally amazing piece of perfection... but it has the most clear view I've ever, EVER had in armor The speaker set up I’m using is an Acekool Portable Wireless Voice Amplifier Microphone. Bluetooth UHF so NO CORDS! My plan is to premiere him at the International Balloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque when the Vader and Yoda balloons launch. Here are some photos so far... I ended up using the extra cushion head support piece off of an “old” child car seat for my padding inside my bucket. It sits so amazingly comfortable on my head!

This is amazing news to start the day! THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard! @BikerScout007, @Spiel, @Reideemer and everyone else! I admit I was a bit disappointed it didn’t get its own designation - but "TB" is great! In fact I probably honestly like it a bit better than "PT"... which would make us sound as much like "physical therapists" as troopers. 😂
-
WOO HOO!!!! Thank you ALL for working so hard on this!
-
Ah, okay. Things are so different now-a-days! haha That's cool.

Many of you may know that I was the DL for the MEPD for a few years and that I also made — and still make — the MEPD cards for guys who want them. Well, I'm working on cards for "Patrol Troopers" now as well and thought I'd post what I have. I realize this is WAY early... but I wanted to get it on here so that you're aware it's in the works. Once everything is official — CRL approved, I get the cards approved by the Legion Merchandise Officer etc., etc., etc. — then I'll post them in the appropriate section for sale on the forums. Let me know what you think.
