  1. Thanks. No, never sold it (no one interested) so I figured I would finish it.
  2. Anyone? Could these be approved with minimal mods? I need a pair to finish my Kashyyyk trooper but don't want to pay for something that won't get approved. Thanks
  3. I want to get a pair from him, but need to know will these pass?
  4. Also, will this color work? CRL says beige. I want to avoid painting them. Just do some weathering.
  5. What do you all think about these.
  6. Velcro is a great idea also. I might look at that. The Shade 5 lens is pretty dark and hard to see out of indoors. I could get a lighter shade for indoors and switch to the darker outside.
  7. I like the idea of wood blocks glued in and then just screw the lens to the blocks. I'm glad I cut the lens bigger than the old original one that came with the costume. Thanks for the replys.
  8. What is everyone using to glue their lens in? Hot glue sticks set up pretty quick but if it oozes out and gets on lens, it is tough to pull off excess. Goop glue holds great but takes to long to dry if I have to hold the lens. My biggest fear is the glue oozing out onto the show side of the lens and not being able to get it off the lens. I bought a Shade 5 shield and cut out the lens. The curve is close to sitting it in right but there is a couple of low spots that I can push it slightly to fit snug. I don't think I need to heat the lens to try and get it to fit any better. It sets up high enough off of the helmet that tape won't hold it down.
