  1. Thank you for the update. I will update our group in the Bay Area.
  2. Hello Everyone, The 501st Legion will be at Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018. Are you in the Bay Area (Northern California) and wanting to be a Biker Scout? Silicon Valley Comic Con is an annual pop culture and technology convention, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. Friday, April 6th Saturday, April 7th Sunday, April 8th Please stop by the legion booth to say hello! I will be onsite Saturday afternoon (4PM-6PM) to answer your TB armor questions and interest in the legion. If you want, you can share your armor for onsite tech support (please DON’T bring tools and building materials). This is an opportunity to show us your progress and get one-on-one assistance. There will also be a Shoretrooper from our local garrison to help with questions as well. Thank you. Walter (TB-61972)
  3. Thank you Mickey for clarification!
  4. Question. Are we allowed to have new people join our local ART? I have five members that are not 501st members and working on their scout trooper costumes? I just need a straight answer. We'd love for them to join us. Please advise. Thank you.
  5. No difference, most of us have very slight gaps.
  6. My cod is velcro to the vest followed by a parachute clip at the back. To get the cod to the right shape, i used padding and a plastic backing. My wife sew a pocket behind the cod so I can remove the plastic when its laundry time.
  7. I found your build thread again. =) The cummberbund must be two pieces for Lancer. Two inch velcro is very strong and will hold together well. I'm a big dude so don't worry about it seperating while trooping. Here are my photos:
  8. Welcome! Looking great! Go Lancer all the way with your build. You got some skills there! Try to make the cummberbund into two pieces with cod piece.
  9. My first part was the helmet. I have older CB (Christian Cucblack) helmet. Not sure if he's still in business anymore. I have a big helmet and the CB helmet was the only helmet that fits perfectly for me. I'm going to suggest to get in touch with your local garrison (local Biker Scouts) and see if can ask for local meet up and try out the different helmets.
  10. We copy. I will spread the word to our pathfinders here in the Bay Area. Looking forward to another great year!
  11. I saw these on ebay. Congrats!
  12. Buckets off. Rest in Paradise Jim.
  13. Bump to the top for new scouts! Happy New Year everyone!
  14. I wanted to take a moment to say Happy Holidays to the entire Pathfinders staff and community. Thank you for all the information and help to make my Biker Scout costume come to life. I received my race shirt and absolutely love it! See you all next year with more new Biker Scouts from our region! TB-61972
  15. Very cool! Congrats!
  16. Just to be on the safe side, I would remove an inch from the bottom (especially if you're going to Lancer).
  17. When we created our cummerbunds, we started with 1-1/4" spacing. Cut some 1-1/4" painters tape to get straight lines and sew accordingly. After its sewn, it will reduce down to a perfect inch. Keep in mind, we are using double bedding padding to get the puffy look. Good luckl
  18. If you don't mind waiting, Far Away Creations is my recommendation.
  19. This is awesome!!!
  20. Oh man! Wishing you the best. I did the hot water trick on TK shoulder bell. Just go real slow on dipping the indent and then reshaping it. I did it right on the stove using a large pot.
  21. Looking forward to your build!
  22. Congratulations!
  23. Tandy Leather is where we bought ours. You can buy online.
