Do I need to sand between priming and applying the white?

SUP_Ronin, is the rivet flush against the plastic? if it sticks out a little further on either side you should be able to just snip the end off under the lip and pull it out. hard to tell without seeing it.

Yeah. no prob! They didn't even give me a bolt in the kit, just the bolt covers. I ordered the speedglas kit last night.

Hey Everyone! This is my first helmet build, a KS. I appreciate any input and will undoubtedly have questions to ask and I already have some. Here's where I'm at so far, nothing is glued yet. I plan on painting it and wondered if I should glue the faceplate and visor before or after painting? I'm guessing after so it will cover any glue or anything like that. Let me know if you think any adjustments are needed on the cutouts.

I think if you buy it preassembled KS rivets the visor to the rest of the helmet, instead of a bolt/nut.

Is the hot glue method ok to use on an ABS kit? the pics here look like fiberglass. Sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm attempting my first helmet build.
