Just got this 3M bolts and tried to attach them yesterday, but they don't work on the CB fiber glass helmet v2 because the grey bolts are way too short. Since the helmet is made of fiber glass you don't have the chance to "press" anything together like the abs helmets. I got the original Hasbro blaster from ebay and it is still working - makes a horrible sound. According to the CRL the blaster is optional for the whole scout costume requirement, but what has to be modified to the Hasbro blaster to get it 501st approved? Anyone did this before?

Hey folks, I got a nice CB helmet and now dealing with the well known problem. How can I modify the helmet to keep the visor stay open when lifted up or on the other side how to make it stay closed when looking down. I read about some "3M bolts" or "headband kit" and stuff but can't find any instructions with pictures how to modify my helmet.

I hear ya... I'm trying to finisch my Biker Scout Costume and just guess what is missing... gloves! Is there anyone around here who got approved with non-SA gloves? Or did a GMO say anything to alternatives?
