  1. congrats
  2. Ok having searched and read what I could, I see people are doing both the green and the black lenses. Is there anything that states what color it should be? Or do we know if the CRL may add lens color anytime soon, or what is the overall opinion. Not happy with my current lens and planning to redo it and want to get the best, most authentic color
  3. This is what I did, I used the duck cloth to make a covering, I am a larger guy and have close to a 4-5" gap between the top of the front and back chest pieces
  4. my KS was nice, was very happy
  5. I really need to find a good pattern for the vest
  6. I am doing a dual fabric on my flak vest, I am using a black broadcloth for the sleeves, which I padded, originally I cut a pattern out of this for the shirt portion. To be blunt it sucked...badly, the sleeves are nice though, so on round 2 I am attaching the sleeves back to the black tshirt I cut the old ones off of for a pattern, I have made a larger neck, and split it up the back and getting ready to put velcro on
  7. lol, that was the other thing I was wondering about
  8. 2nd layer is what i am debating, driving me nuts how it is showing the holes, seen others with the same boot, and it does not show, pm'd jaycee who used the same boot to see what he did.
  9. ok wanna get opinions on the tightness before I glue this down
  10. too funny
  11. trying to figure out how to do the back, sewingthe sleeves atm, must say I like how they are looking
  12. Could you use a black t shirt as the chest for the flak vest, and repace the sleeves with padded sleeves? Just curious seeing as it would seem to be more comfortable
  13. Working on my scout build, want to make sure the spacing is right on the back and chest, now I will say I am going to be a large biker scout, and the bridge at the top will be large, but before I sew it I want to make sure the spacing is right
  14. yeah think I am gonna get some real short ones for just the top eyelet and the hooks, started heating the second one with no laces and like the look a lot better
  15. I see now why you put the piece on the tongue first, otherwise you get a seam at the toe
