  2. EFX is no way good for trooping as being too heavy. It is way too heavy for its own acrylic stand - so I replaced it with a wooden model I have for all my fan made helmets. Next to the RS on display:
  3. Jez's reviews are appreciated by people like us who understand why a helmet is like this. But on another board he and others who speak against EFX are targeted by EFX cheerleaders.
  4. KS was kinda soft, the snout greeblie needed change, and not as accurate as other lids. But it was big, easy fit for my big head.
  5. My top exactly. i also used to own a KS, but it is lower than top 5, maybe even out of top 10 unless modded
  6. This was made so certain people have access to the ILM archives. In the end I'm glad I have the RS. Will keep the EFX too, in the future I might sell it, there are always collectors of licensed replicas
  7. EFX Scout helmet arrived. Like I said before I wasn't expecting too much difference from what I've seen from collector's pics already. The helmet is quite heavy, shiny and looks solid, coming with a nice COA, but is not as accurate as it could have been. The jaw flair and the big visor gap are the most prominent issues with this replica. My visor closes quite ok looking from sides, but looking from top it the gap is wider on one side than the other. The visor itself has some accuracy problems as well. The snout is not that sharp, but was expecting to be softer so it is ok. The stand looks cheap, but seems reasonably steady and solid, still is definitely inferior to other EFX stands. Price is quite high for what you get in the end, expecially for international collectors who weren't bribed by EFX with a free Vader helmet. The overall appearance is ok, less accurate than RS Prop Masters and maybe even LoneWolf, and looks better than Altmanns, the other licensed high end Scout helmet. An ok replica, but inferior to previous EFX LE helmet replicas. It is not the worst Scout helmet out there, but definitely not the best. Comparison EFX vs LoneWolf (LW) vs RS Prop Masters Scout Trooper Helmets:

  10. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as well as price and accuracy. In the end you are buying the helmet for yourself. If you want a less accurate helmet for less money, then is perfectly ok if you are happy with it.
  11. I used to own the KS, right now I own the LW, the RS, and have the EFX on pre-order. And still the LW helmet is proudly staying in my collection, despite being asked by various people, including close friends, to sell it. LW is a different animal, it's very well made, a beautiful and elegant piece of art, and VERY accurate, even by today's standards, when compared to RS or EFX proto.
  12. I think it would be easier to outsource these Scout helmets from the Ewok village instead of waiting for EFX to make them LOL
