Just as a heads up, the mesh material on the undersuit is only on the front side of the arm pit and only a small portion of it. On the back it has horizontal ribs like the arms. The vertical ribs only appear at the upper chest area where they show around the neck hole.

Just as a heads up some one posted a while back that Ford Nordic blue was also Alcopolo blue and that is not correct at least not here in the US. The accurate Ford Nordic blue was a UK color, it was not made on US cars at all. The closest US Ford color is the 1980 Ford Fiesta "Light Blue" paint code 1401A. They have used the word Nordic blue for other colors in much earlier year models (60's era) but it is nothing like the blue we see used on the Shoretroopers. Currently there is no off the shelf "touch up" spray can paints made in the US in the correct color, but you can get custom mixed colors from several places online as well as local body shops or automotive paint stores in spray cans. Expect to pay around $25 per can plus shipping

So has anyone found a good off the shelf option for the metal slider thing on the back of the belt or are the people making belts having those custom made?

Wow that would have been good info to know before I rebuilt my boots and finished them.

Sorry for he long delay, but I finally got around to updating my boots to the standards set forth. They are about an inch taller and no longer have the excess stitching on the back. I also old greeblie on the TD and flipped it and replaced it. Pics follow.

When you say the boots are too short how tall should they be? I used the patterns on the boards to make them.

Any notes ?

So in my quest to build my SC armor to lancer spec I need some 1 3/8 in (35mm) black elastic and can't seem to find anywhere that actually sells that size. Does anyone have a source here in the US for this? It doesn't seem to be a standard size, places like Strapworks.com don't carry it. Any help would be great.

So this may sound stupid but I have the 3M bolts and a SC helmet... On the back of the bolts (the thread side) there is a square bit that stops the bolt from sitting flush against the helmet if I drill holes the size of the threads. How do I fix this? Do I just drill a much larger hole then I need for the thread, big enough for the square bit to fit though or is there some other secret? Anyone know what tool to use (ie what size bit would be needed if it is just a bigger hole)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As for someone else who makes pouches and bunds I feel that the visible velcro stitching isn't much of a big deal, it is pretty difficult to see in those pics if it is really there or not. I mean you are looking for white thin thread on a white cloth at a distance on film after all. Attaching the velcro after the pouch is put together makes much more sense and makes assembly much easier. I do agree on the no top stitching along the edges that is pretty clear.

Well I won't be posting up a review of the blaster as the maker couldn't get it done in a timely manner so he refunded my money. I will say he was fairly quick with updates and he is the one who offered the refund saying "he didn't want to be one of those flaky makers"

Is the riser plate just a flat piece of plastic? There is no detail to it at all? If so that that really is simple!

Well you can get the KS helmet for around $150 in kit form but you have to build it.

I would also like this information as I am also seeking one of those snout pieces.
