stripe on the back of the tank. I think your hanging pouches are fine. Looks like you feet are so large the toe caps don't fit too well. If you need to you can add plastic to the end to lengthen them (bondo and then repaint them) but I would wait to see if you get approval before hacking into them. Kit looks pretty good

THese are are exactly the boots we are using. Just use a dremil tool and notch all of the cut outs in the sole and dremel the arch will look great. And a slight dusting of white paint

pouches diagrams and measurements
comm tech replied to Skethra's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Soft Parts
Yep this is the measurement chart I used on mine and my wifes. Oh yeah, and when you take submission pics, DO NOT stand under a direct light source. It makes your kit look shiny and new, no mater how weathered it is LOL -
How short is the belt? If it is only a couple of inches, make sure your spine pouches can cover it up, move them slightly up or down it you have to. Usually down. Mine is about 2 inches apart

I have an I-comm amp that I have attached to the back side of my chestplate. Get a slightly lager AKer amp if you go this route. My wife has a TK/TI loop on a series 1 ipod in the tank, the echo coming from it is pretty cool. In a large group you really can't tell where the sounds are coming from,,or who.

Yep go with the oatmeal, I picked up a 1/2 yard at Joannes fabrics for about $7 (with coupon) With mine and my wife's CB we Made the corners are squared as we could, but we did put a bit of round on them. The border is nice if you are great with fabric, luckily my wife is, but it is not in the crl's....at this time.

SInce the visor really does not have a ton of stress on it (like ever) I e6000 the visor to the helmet and drilled small holes and installed 3/4" flat head screws (slightly countersunk) 4 total, and then filled the holes with bondo. Sanded smooth. Strong as hell, 5 years so far

ready to dive in --- Orlando anyone?
comm tech replied to CFLStarWarsDad's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper HQ
Nick, Welcome to the group. Kayelbe is correct, go to the fl501st.com site and get registered. Then introduce yourself in the newbies section. Lots of help should be available in Makaze for the Biker Scout, as far as the kashyyyk, I do not think (I could be wrong) Makaze has any approved Kashyyyks, they do have a member or two building them right now. Tampa squad has a couple of Approved and a few being built. If you ever need help with the Kashyyyk and want to travel to a Tampa AP I would be more than happy to help you along. Makaze usually has an AP about once a month. -
Camo Shirt Sourcing --- right or wrong track?
comm tech replied to CFLStarWarsDad's topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Soft Parts
Hey Nick, Problem with buying these online is you might get the right item and you might not. i ordered 3 sets of these from another supplier, 2 shirts are correct the third is rip stop. The pants were just the opposite (2 ripstop and 1 cotton). Right now the site you posted looks they are on sale for $10.00 , might be worth the try, for that cheap. I spend a lot of my spare time, hitting all of the A/N Surplus stores I can find -
Mineral spirits will do a really good job of removing some paints, when I had to redo my paint job, that is what I used and then Washed and did a light (800 grit paper) sanding. Before reapplying the new paint Good luck with that kit.
-
Way too Rounded and sharp and Way too symmetrical Look at the paint jobs of other WIP's and the CRL's. I had to repaint mine 4 times before I got what I was looking for.
-
If any of the brown shows once your cumberbund and armor are on, I would say not usable. Also since this is a different material than you pants (presumably) when you dye everything they could end up wildly different colors.
-
Shoulder bells should be more rounded at the top, not so squared off. The base looks a little too yellow and the green looks a tad off as well

Looks good buddy. LOL tell ROman to dirty up those ultra bright white straps on his shin armor, they really stand out. LOL
