  1. Hey guys, these are the boots I make. I don't make them to Lancer spec, but have recently been having better luck finding solid-color sole boots. And you can do the cuts on your own.
  2. I have used kids boots to make them for women before...
  3. I did something similar - just cut out circles out of scrap plastic and painted them gray. works great
  4. I used ABS cement, roughing up the plastic that will eventually be bonded is a must. I'll take pics tonight if you need me to.
  5. I need at least one, possibly four. Can someone pm me too?
  6. throw some plastic behind the tear and glue it in. My KS bucket was really thin on the sides, and I had to do shims for reinforcement on the sides. I'll order SC next time.
  7. I'm aware I need to cut a slot in the raised portion, but I don't know how the other part attaches... Can someone with an assembled KS please take detailed pics of the holster? Thanks!
  8. I've got my KS suit trimmed and ready to be strung together... and I'm having a hard time finding the strapping. I see many different measurements, and I want to make sure I do it right... Does anybody have a handy list of the different widths and types of straps I need to go buy? Also, good locations to find these things would be great - I am having little luck at JoAnn and Hobby Lobby. Thanks scouts! Robbie
  9. Can you use tweezers and pick it off? Trying to sand it will definitely smear it around.
  10. Just updating everyone, and not trying to hijack this thread, but the four sets I got yesterday have similar issues. We got three white sets and one black, and unfortunately the black is worse. It also seems the plastic for the back of the helmet is different. It seems REALLY thin as compared to the other pieces. Can someone who had the KS kit shed some light on this? I know for sure I am sending back the black back piece to be replaced.
  11. I have to say this is making me really nervous. I am expecting four sets of KS armor and helmets when I get home.
  12. Use the 'contact seller' link on there. that's what I did and he got right back to me.
  13. Can you send it to me as well?
  14. So did you trim up the bit a little? Could I trouble you for a picture of your setup?
  15. Hey folks, checking to see if any of you have swapped T-bits from the stock KS ones to the accurate DJ ones... Ordering all my greeblies and stuff so I have it when my armor shows up. Thanks!
  16. I don't think IMG tags work... you have to click the Photo icon and paste there.
  17. PM sent.
  18. Removing pockets is easy. Just get a seam ripper and take your time.
  19. I'm 6'3". Making my boots now... the tutorial says make the shaft 14 inches... that was also for a size 10. Should I make mine higher? I am still waiting on my armor so I can't measure distance between knee armor and top of boots.
  20. Debbi, that's a great idea! I think that if the butt portion was a bit lower that would alleviate the front problem too! I think I'll test this out on something else first so I don't mess up the suit... Off to Goodwill for some ill-fitting pants!
  21. Just need to adjust the crotch a bit to get rid of the wedgie.
  22. OK so here's a picture of me in my suit. It's an XL. I tried on a 2XL and it was huge on me. How's it look?
  23. So if I go with your suggestion above, taking the suit apart and adding the fabric... what if I cut it underneath where the zipper ends and add the fabric all around there? I'm afraid to mess it up by taking the zipper out...
  24. This is what my suit looks like. The two options are shown above... It seems like the bottom version would be easier... what are the down-sides to doing it this way? The only thing I can see is it would make the legs shorter, which would be OK too.
