I used a chrome paint after the primer and then the base coat. The armor is MB armor.

Helmet done and ready for camo paint and working on getting all the pouches on the cummberbund.

I finally dyed the pants this weekend and this is how they came out. The pockets were done as well.

Thanks Heatshock, I was curious what that stripe looks like, I am getting ready to paint within the month or so, that's if the weather cooperates here in Texas.

if certain items are required, can you least post a picture reference to it i.e. black tank strip What is the preferred method of multi-cam fabric on pouches first and if not available camp pattern fabric? just want to make sure my ducks in a row.

Nate, I made sure I took everything out of the box, doubled and tripled check and no helmet greebs. I will check with MB on those.

any comments on these boots? I need to hurry and order and start the dye process on these if there are ok for KT boots.

Seems like a missing something on the helmet. On the mouth vent on the helmet, I am missing two of the circular disks. Where do I get those?

its straight and to the point, the paint part of it is confusing. I posted questions in another thread.

I have several questions that I couldn't find in the different build threads and tutorial. 1. How to apply base coat? I see two ways, one is the satin latex paint that MB discussed in the tutorial. (is that done by brush, spray, airbrush?) second way I saw was the Rustoleum paint "fossil"? 2. How to glue the rubber pieces? CA, E-6000? 3. How to paint the rubber pieces? spray, brush, airbrush? 4. How to glue the resin pieces? CA, E-6000? 5. Drop boxes, paint as is? or use the fabric that used on the cod then paint?

I have read most of the threads on the various KT boots and now that Crow62 his making replicas, but due to spending my last $ on every other KT to finish, I am down to my last dollar. We do not have any in Texas, so I will be the first one. The prep work is starting tomorrow, so hopefully will have pictures to share.

I just received my armor today and should start my build soon, right after elections... lol I have to thank some great people on this forum for all their help, MR Bungle, Grumpy, and others that have answered my questions.

anyone making the ammo pouches? I saw a run awhile back but doesn't seem anyone is making any at the moment. If anyone is, please PM me, last thing I am lacking for my KT.

Darren, you have a picture of the stuff that you have? I am slowly gathering parts for the KT I am doing and that is one of the components that I need. I am curious if they nike or under armor eye shield would work to... suggestions?

Thanks Matt! you are definitely a life saver, I comb thru photos and search forums posts and didn't see anything really concrete except whats in the CRL and a few pictures here and there. This definitely helps alot. Now, all I need is armor, boots, and pouches.

I finally received my desert bdu pants and going to start on the pockets and the riding patch. My question is there a template for the riding patch and photos of the patch sewn to the pants? also, what is everyone using for the patch, dark grey? grey? leather? suede? What does the CRL specify?
