I would be interested in purchasing two chin cups if they are available. Thanks. Ed

So I realized I took too much off the back piece of the helmet near where the hinges go, so I had to build up the area to get it to look right. Need to finish sanding those areas down and then I will have to paint the helmet (was trying to avoid that) Still need to add the mesh in the ear holes and the lens. Also still waiting on decals and the snout piece from MC to arrive. Here a are few pics. Please let me know what needs improvement. Ed

I have been working on getting the armor together. Pretty much done with the assembly just need to work on the belt portion and make some adjustments to the chest piece and paint the rectangle in the chest piece. I also need to do the pinstriping on the tank. Also have to finish up the helmet and get a balaclava. I am also looking for some padding to add to the pouches. Here are a few pics please let me know what you all think, will take constructive criticism to try and improve the over all look. Will post more once I get the belt complete. Ed

I received the soft armor pieces. I ordered from cucblack, please let me know what you think of these items, and if there are any mods that may need to be done. These items fit like a glove. I know in an earlier thread there were some concerns about the riding patch and the chevron on the cummberbund being not accurate, Ithink he has corrected those issues. Thanks for the input. Ed

I did trim off too much of the wrap around. I am currently looking to try fix this mistake. I realize this helmet build is a lot harder than what I thought it would be. I am probably going to order a prebuilt helmet but will continue to build this one. The tutorial I am following is good but there needs to be more to how to fit the visor to the rest of the helmet Hope this turns out. Thanks for the info I am going to look at more pics.

I received my kit from KS on May 4, and started trimming it up and mocking some of it on May 5th. Looking at the photos I still think there is more trimming and sanding to do. So here are a few pics, will continue to post as the build continues. http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0425.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0427.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0428.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0429.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0432.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0435.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0436.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0439.jpg http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...ld/DSCN0443.jpg

Thanks Witness. I did try the iron and towel thing, just couldn't get the best crease in the top, and I need to learn to sew a straight line with the sewing machinelooking boot. Going to try and do another set up to see about getting a better, Thanks for the comments and the encouragement. I was at first a bit concerned about taking on this project, but feel withtaking a bit more time I shouldbe able to get a better boot. Thanks again

The vinyl wasn't real thick maybe 0.5 thickness. I got it at Joanns fabrics, ask for marine vinyl.

I had just noticed that as I was putting up the post. I agree with the paper templat as I did hace to adjust that didnt ralised it wasn't going to cover that small seam. Thanks for the input

Worked all day Saturday and Sunday on the boots, abd finished them late Sunday night. Here are some pics of the boots as I worked on them and the finished product. The tutorial is awesome and helped make the process go smoother than expected, I also learned a few things. Thanks for looking at these pics and I appreciate any comments that may help make the boots better. Thanks Ed http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/...70/DSCN0324.jpg

Hello all, I am starting to wor on my Boots, while waiting for helmet and armor to come in. I am using the Merona boots from Target, and have bought the white marine vinyl. I am doing the rib cuts on the soles before I start covering the boots, and am looking for comments on how they are looking. Below is a link to a couple of pics showing the cutouts. Thanks. http://s1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb330/GatorDoc70/
