  1. As I have had a few requests put to me for the brassard pattern mentioned in my previous post. I have finally got round to drawing it up. PDF version - full-sized (465KB) JPEG version - full-sized, 300ppi (3.9MB)
  2. For some non-cannon troops I wear a studded black brassard for that tough biker look. I have seen versions with just squad and legion patches on it too. I can post up a pattern if people are interested - it is a bit different to the Sandtrooper pauldron. I was inspired by TB-1019's brassard I saw a little while ago. This is TB-1019's patched up version:
  3. Thank you guys for your all your suggestions. Looks like I will be hunting for another set of armour and trying to apply your suggestions to that. Till then I will enjoy being a a Pathfinder. Thanks for clearing me Marcel.
  4. Hi guys, My armour was just approved last week and I was wondering what I need to do more on my suit to gain Lancer status? I would appreciate your thoughts. Smiles, Izzy
  5. Thanks guys for getting back to me about this. @Smitty, yes there are indeed the Alan Sinclair prints. It is great to know that they seem to be the right size. I now have my building project for Easter set. @Acrylikhan If you are interested, I have managed to upload the blaster file that Alan created. I already have the transistor, but I am interested in your set of "Tasco 1" Weaver-Style Rings" that you have spare. Feel free to PM about it. Smiles, Izzy
  6. Hmm... I have noticed the link no longer works. I have the downloaded file, but there is an FTP error for my host so I will probably have to wait a couple days before sending a new link. Sorry guys!
  7. Hi there, I am wanting to build a Biker Scout blaster from scratch, and have come across some blueprints at various sites by a chap called Alan. I thought I should check if they are considered reasonably accurate before proceeding with the build, especially after recent discussions of blasters not being quite at the right scale..? Blueprints: Alan Sinclair's blueprints (measurements included in the PDF) Thanks! Smiles, Izzy
  8. Thanks guys It means a lot.
  9. After spending another evening with the sewing machine and iron, my cummerbund and pouches are complete. I think the trickiest thing about the pouches was joining the inner and outer parts, make sure they all aligned and looked neat. Here are the results... One pouch ready to be put together. On the Left you can see the upper flap, the middle it the outer pouch, and on the right is the inner pouch. The pouches and cummerbund completed. Phew! A close up of the pouch with the flap open to show to the detail.
  10. Thanks Dave! That makes it even easier to sew. Smiles, Izzy
  11. I am part way making the pouches and I have a bit of a question... Do you have the seam visible for the flap velcro on the outside of the flap as seen in the pouches in the MotM exhibition? Or are you meant to have no visible velcro seams on the outside of the flap? What is more screen accurate? I have found a detailed imaged from the MotM exhibition, but haven't noticed it on any screen shots, but it would be a subtle feature... Smiles, Izzy
  12. Good luck with your commissioned CB! I hope it fits just fine. The additional material on top just sits under the lower half of my bust, so in a way it is a bit like a padded corset. It seems to help with keeping it in place a bit better than without anything like that. Smiles, Izzy
  13. One thing I almost forgot to mention. Prior to sewing, I washed and pressed the duck cotton to get the starch out and allow the fabric to look like it has been worn at least once. It also means it takes the shape that I am trying to get it into better, which will be important with the pouches.
  14. After a bit of tinkering with the pattern, I have finally made my cummerbund. It is tailored to a more feminine figure with a short torso to result in a cummerbund that fits to my shape, but also doesn't have lots of excess material making me look like Michelin Man, and makes the cummerbund look more like the screen one on me. The taper along the upper waist will be hidden by the pouches. The bust area is hidden under the armour. The cummerbund is made of a double layer duck cotton and a dense iron-on wadding in between. I have already cut the fabric for the pouches and all I need to do now is sew them and attach them to the cummerbund.
  15. MJ, let me know if you need my pattern or something as you are using the same boots? I can happily post it to you. I have size 5s. I had to decrease the flap by 80% from the one on the Boot Tutorial. Smiles, Izzy
