Real Life take me away for a while, I am back, 3 weeks ago, my son has a rhinoplasthy procedure, after the intervention, he came back to Guayaquil but the high temp weather caused the tissues don`t heal well, so, he and I has to stay all this time in Quito, a better wheater and low temp, all tisuues heal and both back to our cities. As some of you know, all this was possible because my copyshop is now under a contracted manager, this give me more time to make your boots and in this case I was in Quito taking care of my son, so tge good new is I have now more time for the leather skills. About the factory soles, I taked the casts made by Marcelo (thanks a lot bro), they tried make the molds, first step filling with resin and then to make the aluminium moulds, but sadly the casts don´t worked well, they can use the casts only to make "flat" soles that I will use to make RC´s clone boots. Here a Pic: So, the factory modeller told me the ideal and best results are scaling all the size starting from a big number of a real boot, not a cast, then he will make the moulds (300 usd each size), the advantage of have own moulds is I can order ANY qtty: one, six, ten, etc. of any number, terrific good new, I was afraid because they normally using his moulds ask a 144 units minim by size. Now, this is what we need to make the goal, a Kenneth Cole pair, size 13 or 14uk to take to the factory, 8 days later I will return that pair to his owner and in the same way in the first cast, the soles and leather portion will be well care, I am ready to pay the shipping costs and the first kashyyyk boots that I will make will go for the volunteer for free. Finally and after many customs come in and come out messages and after pay 40% plus fees added at the normal 12% tax, the box came to me, here some pics, this is the first pair molds, the others are on the way: each pair in box weights 4.1 Kg, 70usd ship USA-Ecuador: the rugged inner sole detail, I loved: The front mold and the rear mold, well detailed, THANKS MARCELLO!! Next Step: Monday to the soles factory to negotiate minimal qtties and prices, that is the only factor to calculate final prices. Just a little bit more!! Giovanni

Hi brothers, the molds finally are on the customs, I assume this week I will go to the factory soles to ask final soles costs, I will update pics of the progress, and Darren, this issue will take me at least 4 weeks more to launch the Jangos, you have to decide based on schedule. Giovanni

easy man, easy!! we still needing 8, 11 and 12 sizes I checked today at the soles factory if they can scale the absent sizes, they said yes, BUT that process cost a thousand bucks each number, NO WAY!! (If you are going to make hundreds of pairs its a reasonable price, but this is not the case). We must to be a little patient, after some days more I will have to start with the only numbers that we have. Giovanni

Just to clear the mind, the pics that I uploaded are boots from members of this and other forums, and are or are going to be casted to make soles molds, are not actual production, are not for sale, the pics are used just like an update of this common effort of 3 sw forums. Giovanni

First I want to give a thankful to Brian: Soldermaster, Angelo: Lonescout and Matt: Darthlindon by his warmful welcome here on BSnet. Let me introduce my self, I use to make this items: the live style boots (EP 2 & 3) Jango´s flight suit and emmo belts: with the pics, many of you can remember me now. Now, about our boots: I am , gathering all possible help so far we have worked with CTnet(Galactic Marines), TDH and Mandomercs (Jango Fett), we are becoming to real the Kenneth Cole Pitt Crew. 3 TDH members send us his boots to California to take the casts (9uk, 9.5uk & 10uk by now) 1 CTnet member is making the soles casts in urethane RTV, the molds will come to me in Ecuador to start the soles manufacturing, you can surf those forums for more info. The boots will come in 3 colors: Black (Jangos), White (GM) and Tan (Kashyyyk), I will upload here to show the updates, the cast pics process will come may be tomorrow. We need providing for a few days the original KC or Bed Stu boots to take the casts of the other UK numbers (8,11,12UK sizes) Of course, this project can not go faster as I like, we have to do well every stage to reach sucessfull. How many time will take? Depends of sizes availability, may be the first run will be of 9uk, 9.5uk & 10uk How much will cost each pair? Its early yet to costs calcs, the soles factory asked me give the molds to calculate MOQ & costs I hope will cost 125usd or less each finished pair (I hope less than 100 usd), as I said it is early yet to give prices I think the succesfull will come with the TRIAD collaboration: Jango´s,GM´s and Kashyyyk´s. Ok fellows, Crow62 here, nice to share time with you, about the KC boots, we are in the developing yet, some friends of TDH give his boots to us for some days to cast the soles, those molds will come to me and will take them at soles factory, I will ask in three colors, black, white & tan. The upper shoe will go with the Pit Crew style. Marcelo TK1389 is making for me the casts in California, we have 9uk, 9.5uk, and 10uk boots from those volunteers brothers. If all walks well and The Force let us, we will nweed at least 8 weeks more to the final tests before start a run here and in CTn, TDH and Mandomercs. So, we are inside the timeline. In other hand, if you in this forum can send us for a few days the other sizes that ALL we need, 11uk, 12uk, 8uk will be very helpful.
