  1. Actually a fellow WI Garrison member made it for me. I'll shoot him a message and ask for more information.
  2. Hey fellow scouts. I've always wanted a working carbine, and now thanks to a fellow member of the WI Garrison I have one. It's a modded Nerf Recon CS-6 which shoots darts, has a laser sight, folding stock and a removable clip. Check out the photos below, and I'll upload a video of it in action when I have time! I would also like to add a strap as show in the concept photos, so any suggestions for that would be great!
  3. 100% Cotton. I'll be picking some up tomorrow. Thanks!
  4. I'm planning to modify parts of my costume to meet lancer standards. I found this off-white belting and would like to know if it's accepted for belt straps used for drop boxes. Photo below. Online: At the store (the right webbing for drop boxes and the left possibly for the straps attaching front and back armor):
  5. Awesome! I love it!
  6. Very interesting. I'm glad how it worked out here. Congrats everyone! Hopefully this means we're closer to Lancer applications opening up again.
  7. Congratulations!!!
  8. Great job! Can't wait to see more!
  9. Here are some pictures from going to see the midnight showing of Clone Wars in Appleton! There was about 20 people there and 4 of them were in costume (two were my girlfriend and I!). Any comments are appreciated! Thanks for all the earlier help!
  10. Awesome idea. Glad they still function - is there a certain brand or type of glue you'd recommend to use on the foam?
  11. Thanks! That's a good idea about the forearm armor. I had hoped more would be showing when I wore it, and now it will be. I forgot to mention about the extra strapping - so trimming will take place soon! Thanks for the idea of using square shaped foam for inside the pockets - I'll have to make some blocks myself!
  12. Hey fellow scouts. Just wanted to post a few pictures of the progress I've made since my last post. Please note before posting comments: -I will be purchasing a UA HeatGear Balaclava as soon as I can find one in stock. -I will be fixing my T-Det so that the alice clips aren't visible. -Boots are coming this week and I will post again when they're done. With those things in mind let me know what improvements I can make to my costume so it would be 501st acceptable. Looking forward to your comments - thanks in advance! Next time pictures will be better taken with more light!
  13. Measured, cut, and applied all of the white loop velcro to the of all armor pieces and started working on the thermal detonator. Thanks again for all the helpful information! This is the best resources ever! Updates coming next week.
  14. To each their own Working slow and being patient is the way I will do it. I want to do this costume right the first time, so it shows I took my time and put all my effort into it. I don't have the funds to throw it together then try to sell it and hopefully make my money back - There aren't many things I've known people have been able to sell for profit, it seems costuming is one place this doesn't apply.
  15. Well, the time has come. I have my DP helmet and my SC kit sitting on the floor and it's time to get started! I'll be sanding down the rough/sharp edges of my armor with 3M SandBlaster 180 Fine Sandpaper. A few other things I picked up were: -Surebonder Rivets Remaches Aluminum 1/8'' diameter by 1/8'' grip. White Qty 100. -SAE Flat Washers #6 -1/8 by 3/4 Fender Washer - A few 1/4-20 x 1 Elevator Bolt (Picture attached) More pictures coming soon!
