I didn’t know about the tank being free floating...? I’ve always been curious about the strap too. I never imagined it was meant to hold the tank in-place. I wound up going with using the CA glue and simulating the strap. Thanks for the info lads.

Hey guys, Ran into a snag. Whats everyone doing to attaching the hump to the back? I have a Moncal kit and the bottom rivet on the hump is too far from the back piece to be riveted in place, without possible causing too much pressure and ripping through the ABS. I'm tempted to cut a panel in the back piece and plastic weld or CA glue from the inside. What have you guys done?
