Thermal Detonator mounting issue
TK6918 replied to Ducman82's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I don't understand how zip ties are considered more cannon than clips. The original scouts had clips! -
My helmet has a few imperfections, especially around the ear section. Nothing too bad though. Each pull will be different.

I tip my hat to you sir

Jeff, I think the hardest part for any newbie would be patience. -

SC or MC when it comes to armor kits. -
I think it was posted that recently KS had been busy. Remember the time he gives you is just estimates. I don't think he's screwed anyone out of their money, just be patient.

Can't decide what color rivets to use
TK6918 replied to TK6918's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Wow, not a single vote?! Regardless, I tried looking for medium length 1/8" white rivets, and couldn't find any at my local hardware store. Took it as a sign and decided to go with the silver ones included with my MC kit. -
All the holes are drilled and ready for final assembly of the holster to the boot. Currently it seems both white and silver are acceptable for Lancers which is my end goal. Through my research I have found that silver rivets were used in the movies. However I feel that white rivets would look nicer and give less of a hardware-store-assembled look. Unfortunately I can't seem to make up my mind on what to use. Help me fellow scouts... You are my only hope... Disclaimer: Results of the poll will not determine final outcome.

Congrats John!

I also recommend having at least one or two extra people helping you with getting it fitted right. I have pics from MC on how it should look for the assembly of it. pm me your email and ill send them to you.

you talking about the black elastic strap on the thighs on the flightsuit? or the cotton straps that hold the hip armor?

Hey Bryan, I feel for ya. I wore a regular scout in Hawaii weather and it felt great. Now I am making my own suit, going Lancer with Las Vegas weather. Now I regret it. LOL Hang in there bro!
