  1. no no, not you fella, seems the auto save function lost a bit of the post, its directed at Nathans original post. I lost the post, went back to it and the autosave recovered most, missed a few lines though! Blu ray images inbound, until then, its all gravy.
  2. lol, read what I wrote first Allan..... What your trying to justify you based your two tone bund on is nothing more than a cgi attempt to define depth via shadowing, to define the ribs in the bund at distance. none of the up close images show a two tone bund, not one, why are you basing something on such weak evidence? lets go through your images you are basing it on.... "battle scene" pic 3, Kt on left... REALLY??? its a square block of dark blur... what about the rest of the bund you can still visibly see, that's ALL one colour... and its NOT two tone striped... poor evidence. Back shot of bund pic 4... I cant even work out which KT on the right your on about, the one in the foreground seems to have a single line of grey in reality about 2 inches long to the top left of the centre pouches... so not the complete band, in a stripped pattern? no, just a single line..... You don't even comment on the next two.... is that because one is the hallowed 3d render, that doesn't show a striped two tone bund, all it shows is a shadowed image, as you can see the shadow line across the pouch flap top right. The BEST image we have to work with, you dismiss entirely, I would like to draw you to the KNOWN grey parts of the costume. the straps behind the knee, and the two strips on the bund.... now how can your bunds two grey colours be darker than the two strips on the belt??????? if you can answer me that, I'll eat my hat! surely that's the simplest piece of evidence that discredits a two tone striped dark grey bund? no?
  3. Currently waiting on a friend grabbing 1 to 1 screen grabs from his blu ray. Its a shame they didn't get the CRL right a year ago or we wouldn't be having this discussion "again"... lol Your image your circling is inconsistent due to the clarity and the fact that one looks dirty white (at best) and the other, tan. Trooper on the right, a closer picture, tan. What we've yet to see, is a KT with actually white boots.... Given that they are camouflaged troopers, based on a homeworld that is jungle terrain, i'm struggling to find any logic as to why they would have white boots in the first place.... Given cost was not an issue for the costume makers due to cgi, and (to my knowledge) no military units, current or historical, wearing camouflage, were issued white boots to "blend in". Currently, the cgi images we have are inconsistent at best, to the extent that the person that wrote the current crl is now questioning the CRL. What can we draw on for a conclusion? pre production images show white.... without question Screen grab in uber hi def, shows tan.... without question Logic, cammo'ed soldier in jungle wearing white boots? More likely tan, or at least a colour that blends in with surroundings. "Screen" accuracy is key here, what is seen on screen, analyzing blurred dvd grabs wont get us anywhere... dvd = 8gb, blu ray = 45gb.....
  4. probably a bit big... go for squirrel fans for a directional jet of air, to aid in lens demist ect, or 35-40mm low voltage ones, that 9V will buzz in your bucket like a swarm of wasps!, not to mention sting if you catch any facial part on it!
  5. I like how you can find only one blurry screen shot, but multiple 3d renders... I thought the point of this was to make the CRL "Screen accurate" not 3d render accurate? One grab from the glimpses of them on screen, a few seconds later others are blasted off their feet, currently having a friend grab them too from a blu ray copy for us. Please tell me you can see the difference between the WHITE straps, and the TAN boots?
  6. not quite sure why if your still using your 3d renders for your multicam pouches, your not using the same renders to clearly see its NOT two tone deck chair esque grey/dark grey??? its a similar tone to the base of the armour, with weathering, simples...
  7. Not grey Suede all the way, riding wear patches are predominantly suede, the is the biker is the evolution of the Kashyyyk, as the TK is the clone, follow the logical similarities, which were no coincidence, and you'll come to the logical conclusion, that they would be suede, not leather.
  8. try it, rough up two bits of hips and stick them together with your putty... no reason why it shouldn't work, but no loss if it doesn't!
  9. Start with 100% pure Acetone, buy a gallon. Pour an ounce or so into a glass jar (small open mouth jar). Take a scrap piece of abs and using something sharp, scrape off peelings (like pencil shavings size) into the jar of acetone. Put allot of shavings in, the acetone will gradually melt the plastic into a goo. Add enough plastic until the goo reaches toothpaste consistency. Once you have a good batch melted put the lid on the jar tightly and set it aside. Now, prep your parts, put in a grove where you want the join, somewhere for it to sink in and bite to. Smear on some plastic goo, leave it crowned up over the crack like a regular weld looks, let it cure overnight. Sand to flush the next day, fill any pinholes with JB Weld. The crack will practically disappear at this point, paint as normal
  10. you could always try filler primer, as its thicker than normal primer, it should stop the resin absorbing the paint, which is what it looks like, the resin is sucking the paint in like a sink hole...
  11. yeh shipping is stupid, but I have no issue whatsoever in picking up ddpm and shipping it to the US, that way you wont pay over the odds retailers charge in shipping!
  12. GF or Follano is one of the original stormtrooper armour makers, long since put out of business by LFL... http://www.starwarshelmets.com/imperialfanGF.htm
