ok I got some base boots from kmart size 13

and I was marking out the sole cuts with a pencil so it can be corrected if needed

At the spot that where the heel transitions to the front, that angle there..just cut out the angle..no cutting is required above that angle like the rest of the heel.

If you're going to Jo-Ann Fabrics, sign up for their coupon thing. They text you coupons and then they can just scan it from your phone at the register. New deals every week. Good deals, too. I saved a lot on this whole project with that.

I finished the toes on my boots. Didn't cut the strip yet that goes around the toe. Have a paper template on left boot for the arch to cut out of the vinyl.

Everything looks good to me. What do you guys think?

 

I don't have the knee armor to make the shafts of the boots yet.

This is from the SC website. I'm not sure if it's their old or new knee, but it should give you a ballpark idea:

I was worried about the boot height without the knees myself, but I ended up just going for it and luckily it worked out.
